"Atomium, detail no.10" (2007) is named after the structure made for the Brussels World’s Fair in 1958.

Bertrand Lavier revives the tradition among everyday folk of buying fragments of the Atomium during its renovation and displaying them on their walls at home. Lavier uses his “Van Gogh” technique to cover the object in silver paint in the same colour as the "found object", introducing a tension between the piece’s minimalist shape and its expressionistic finish.
