Placed directly on the floor, on makeshift plinths (boxes, plastic buckets, trestles) or on simple white bases, Rachel Harrison's unstable sculptures, resembling work in progress, invite the viewer to walk around them.

Zombie Rothko (2011) combines a “Rothko-style” surface made up of orange, purple and blue patches painted roughly onto the plinth, with a plastic doll whose hair, swimsuit and the swimming pool from which she emerges are the same colour.
