To mark the close of the exhibition Being Modern: MoMA in Paris, the Fondation is offering a trip to the Big Apple: New York City. Friday is an evening for moving to the beat, featuring a hip-hop concert from Princess Nokia. On Saturday, take your ears on an inspiring musical journey in the Auditorium as you listen to American music of yesterday and today. On Sunday, enjoy our "Mini Factory" family workshop on the art of screenprinting.

With help from the Bon Esprit team, you can become a master of the dance floor! Under the guidance of a dance instructor, learn Beyoncé’s key moves and unlock the choreographic secrets of one of America’s most iconic entertainers.

Concert

Princess Nokia, a young Afro-Puerto Rican rapper from Harlem, blends the worlds of R&B, hip-hop and house. With her first album, 1992, she became a phenomenon, weaving and retracing her astounding story – one rooted in New York’s multiculturalism – through her lyrics.

Composer and electronic musician Dan Deacon, trained at the Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase in New York, is a jack-of-all-trades who delves into the computer world to mine new acoustic possibilities. At his interactive live performances, he invites large-scale audience participation.

“MINI FACTORY” WORKSHOP!

Pop patterns and colours abound in this Factory designed for family fun! Children and parents learn about silkscreening, then design and reproduce their own artwork based on the techniques used by Andy Warholand others from the Pop Art movement.
