Gudrun was painted with a squeegee that was dragged across the paint to create a large sweep of colour.

Each application drags across the paint to reveal previous layers, in a process that alternates creation and destruction. The title of the piece refers to Gudrun Ensslin, a founding member of the Red Army Faction, establishing a link with the series October 18, 1977, which commemorates the deaths of four members of the terrorist network.
