Robert Boyd is an interdisciplinary artist working in video installation, photography and sculpture. Selected solo exhibitions and installations include The Man Who Fell To Earth at Cité Miroir, Liège, Belgium (2014); Conspiracy Theory at PNCA, Portland (2009) and MoMA/PS1, NYC (2008); Xanadu at Variety Arts Theater, Los Angeles (2026); Santa Maria della Scala, Siena (2018); Context Galleries, Derry (2007); Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT (2007); and Participant Inc, NYC (2006); and The Virgin Collection at Schroeder Romero, Brooklyn, NY (2002).

Biography

Recent group exhibitions include WhiteBox, NYC (2022); ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum, Aarhus (2020); Museo Jumex, Mexico City (2018); Moderna Museet, Stockholm (2016); ZKM, Karlsruhe (2014); Deichtorhallen, Hamburg (2010); Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong (2009); PinchukArt Centre, Kyiv (2008); and 303 Gallery, NYC (2007).

Awards include a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship (2016); New York Foundation for the Arts Artists' Fellowship in Interdisciplinary Work (2015); Haven Foundation Grant (2013); Civitella Ranieri Foundation Fellowship (2010); NYFA Artists' Fellowship in Interdisciplinary Work (2009); Rema Hort Mann Foundation Grant (2006); and a NYFA Artists' Fellowship in Photography (2004). His work in included in several public collections including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Fondation Louis Vuitton pour la Création in Paris.

His video, Xanadu, was an official selection of the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.
