The starting point of Travel is the music, a soundtrack designed by Eric Breton for relaxation. From the very first moments, without knowing its origin, the manufactured aspect becomes apparent. In the camera movements, first in a thicket, then the Amazon jungle, followed by a bird's-eye view tracking shot over a countryside landscape without any particular quality, as in the sound sequences, there are references evoking traditions, the one from the 18th century for the pastoral foreground of the bench, the build-up of anticipation and mystery when the camera seems to enter the thicket, the amplification of the soundtrack at the moment when the viewpoint rises from the ground for the final pan. But these shots, while taking the viewer through a series of sequences, do not develop any progression or particular meaning, which aligns with the artist's expressed intention to visually capture what is often experienced in the background sounds of stores or airports.
