European Heritage Days

Event From 16.09.2017 to 17.09.2017

The 34th edition of the European Heritage Days is dedicated to youth.

On this occasion, Louis Vuitton Foundation opens its doors to the public for free!

Immerse yourself in the “glass vessel” designed by Frank Gehry, by participating in dance and crafts workshops with your family, and discover the Frank Gehry building following our family tours.

11.00 a.m. - Choreography workshop - ages 6-12

Duration: 2 hours – free, booking required, limited places available

To mark the European Heritage Days, discover the architecture of the Fondation Louis Vuitton on a special choreographed tour. Accompanied by an architect/dancer and a guide, parents and children will test and experience the intensity of Frank Gehry’s building through this fun and physical exploration.

In collaboration with Alice Martins, dancer and architect.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

11.30 a.m. - Architectural story tour for families - ages 3-5

Duration: 1 hour – free, booking required, limited places available

Stories, poetry and participatory narratives: an architectural amble around the Fondation Louis Vuitton for families, complete with games, to discover works of art, building details, materials and more.

2.00 – 6.00 p.m. - workshop for families - ages 6-12

Free, join in any time, no booking required, limited places available

Using materials recovered from previous exhibitions, families can make small wooden furniture to take home. Drawing inspiration from the construction techniques used for the Fondation to assemble their object, children and parents can test architectural principles while upcycling old materials.
