The Fondation, in partnership with the Jardin d’Acclimatation amusement park, is pleased to announce the second edition of The Family Festival ! During this weekend of creativity and fun, the Fondation and the Jardin become a playground for children ages 6 months to 12 years, accompanied by their families. Concerts, art workshops, live shows, radio, dance and sports – a thousand ways to play, experiment, explore, try and taste new things.
Young and old alike are invited to learn about the Fondation building and see two fascinating exhibitions, Simon Hantaï. The Centenary Exhibition and Fugues in Color. On the terraces or in the Jardin, at the Auditorium or in the Galleries, hand-in-hand with your children, enjoy a wide variety of family-friendly activities from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Spend a joyful day of surprises and delights with poetic shows like “Sous la Neige” by the Compagnie des Bestioles, outdoor voguing lessons from La Mona, a collaborative fresco with artist Tim Zdey, ending with music from the Fire Brass Band, a talented group of young musicians! Toddlers, too, have special morning activities reserved just for them, including a sensory workshop with designer Elise Gabriel, storytelling and a relaxation area.
Also, foodtrucks available to please everybody : Pizza del Popolo, le Clairon, Glazed and La Cantine du marché.

Children : 8 euros for a day
Adult : 16 euros for a day
Family Ticket : 2 adults + 4 children : 42 euros for a day
One-day tickets give access to all Festival activities as well as the Fondation Louis Vuitton exhibitions and the Jardin d’Acclimatation amusement park.

Raw Materials - Materials library for babies: the poetry of objects

GALLERY 3 - FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON
This workshop takes toddlers on an exciting trip into the world of objects: known objects, real-but-not-yet-touched objects, sound objects – a chance to discover or rediscover the things that surround us all day. Designer Elise Gabriel has a novel way of exploring the materials that form these objects, while original music by Yoann Sanson provides the sound material for our ears to “touch.”

GREEN MIROR - JARDIN D'ACCLIMATATION
Parents and chilidren discover with the help of our cultural guides the work of Simon Hantaï and his approach. Experimenting with Shibori technique, children create an artwork with random colored patterns on a piece of fabric. They transform seemigly ordinary material through the technique of folding and color. Under the hands of the children, fabric can curl up, be painted and then hatch into colorful fireworks!

CHILDREN'S WORKSHOP - FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON
Director and screenwriter, Chaïtane Conversat gives little hands the chance to create animated images using a unique substance: sand. Children can set their imaginations free to make fun and surprising stop-motion sketches.

Using the characters from the Family Festival itself, children are introduced to the techniques of screen printing and create their own poster of the festival!

Nature's factory

GREEN MIRROR - JARDIN D'ACCLIMATATION
It all starts by looking at our surroundings – nature and all the shapes, colours and textures found there. This workshop, “La Fabrique de la Nature” or “Nature’s Factory,” is designed and led by designer Flora Koel, who encourages participants to explore, craft, experiment, handle and test the natural materials found in the Jardin. With a few simple tools and easy assembly techniques, children turn things found in nature into small objects, accessories and microarchitectural creations.

To help children understand reusing and recycling, our partner Bellastock invites them to design an extraordinary park using materials from the Fondation. Boards and other materials are glued, coloured and cut out to make these ideas come true.

Children and parents follow a trail of colours as they explore the exhibitions Simon Hantaï. The Centenary Exhibition and Fugues in Color. Red, yellow, blue, green – travel along with dazzling tints as they journey through the works of Simon Hantaï, Megan Rooney, Sam Gilliam and Katharina Grosse. From monochromatic to multicoloured, young and old alike discover painting’s rainbow of possibilities.

A floor of rustling, crunching tissue paper, the caress of the wind – dreamlike creatures hatch and dance, swept up in the music.
"Sous la neige" (“Beneath the Snow”) is an intimate form of artistry that awakens the senses and inspires feelings of wonderment. Poetry and movement make time stand still and delight young and old.

A slow-motion musical and cinematic journey on vinyl records, led by a “VDGJ” (Video Disc Guru Jockey).
Comfortably settled in, surrounded by a hypnotic, weightless setting, participants visit distant lands that are untouched and unheard by man. With a skilful combination of movie soundtracks, sound collages, dialogue excerpts and other narrative interludes, Marc Blanchard sends you on a soundwave journey through space, with no need for a spaceship!
Children are swept into a timeless daydream that opens eyes, ears and minds.

To end the weekend with a bang, how about an orchestral fanfare! The "Fabrique Orchestral Junior" from Aulnay-Sous-Bois, starts on stage and strolls through the Jardin d'Acclimatation !
Follow this funny parade made up of surprising cardboard objects created by the cardboard sculptor artist Little K and dance to music with the choreographer of the "30 Nuances de Noir.e.s" marching band, Sandra-Sainte-Rose.
From 2 p.m., children are invited to create cardboard accessories with Little K and then join the parade!

Mélanie Lo offers family a joyfull and gentle introduction to acroyoga: this practice at the heart of three traditions - yoga, acrobatics and Thai massage - involves being in pairs, a parent and a child, and consists in various balance postures that develop strength and self-confidence.

Tsugi Radio sets up its microphones on the Green Mirror and broadcasts live from the Fondation during the Family Festival! Tsugi's webradio gives children the opportunity to visit his radio studio and hosts live shows.
