The Fondation Louis Vuitton, in partnership with the Jardin d’Acclimatation amusement park, is pleased to announce the third Family Festival! During this weekend of creativity and fun, the Fondation, the Frank Gehry building, the Basquiat x Warhol. Painting Four Hands exhibition and the Jardin become a playground for children and their families. Concerts, art workshops, live shows, hip-hop dance, storytelling walks and sports – a thousand ways to play, experiment, explore, try and taste new things.
Young and old alike are invited to learn about the Fondation building and see the Basquiat x Warhol. Painting Four Hands exhibition. On the terraces or in the Jardin, at the Auditorium or in the Galleries, hand-in-hand with your children, enjoy a wide variety of family-friendly activities. Spend a joyful day of surprises and delights with poetic shows like “Le petit B” created by choreographer Marion Muzac, outdoor hip-hop dance classes, a collaborative fresco with artist BAULT ending with music from Chassol in the Auditorium! Toddlers, too, have special activities reserved just for them: the “Jeu-minots” workshop offered by artist Claude Como, creative games from artist-illustrator Élisa Géhin, baby tours, live shows and a relaxation area.
There will be food trucks, too, for the whole family to enjoy: Pizza del Popolo and La Cantine du Marché.

Tickets are good for one full day of access to all Festival activities as well as the Fondation Louis Vuitton exhibitions and the Jardin d’Acclimatation amusement park.

“JEU MINOTS” WORKSHOP
CHILDREN’S WORKSHOP - FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON
Artist Claude Como invites babies and parents into her world of tufted wool! Learn about plant families by putting shapes together, play with the sun while exploring nature; discover tiny countries while traveling through vast landscapes. And most of all, take time to touch, feel and taste these soft, sweet new textures.

“IT DOESN’T STAND UP” WORKSHOP
GALLERY 3 - FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON
This creative game, composed of a variety of screen-printed foam shapes, invites babies and parents to play at ground level! With the only rule being to stay lying down, babies and parents assemble arms, heads, legs and more to compose bodies like mountains.

4 TO 12 YEARS
"CROWN" WORKSHOP
ON THE GREEN MIRROR - JARDIN D'ACCLIMATATION
It all starts by looking at our surroundings – nature and all the shapes, colours and textures found there. This workshop, “La Fabrique de la Nature” or “Nature’s Factory,” is designed and led by designer Flora Koel, who encourages participants to explore, craft, experiment, handle and test the natural materials found in the Jardin d’Acclimatation. With a few simple tools and easy assembly techniques, children turn things found in nature into their crown, a tribute to Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol at the Factory, children experiment with the techniques used by the two artists and compose a unique creation with the funny characters of the artist BAULT!

SCREEN-PRINTING

By using the characters of the Family Festival, children learn how to screen-print and then practice this new skill by creating their own Festival poster!

Children and parents follow Jean-Michel and Andy through the New York City of the 1980s and explore their world filled with crocodiles, African masks, logos, bananas, crowns and many more fascinating forms. With help from a Cultural Guide, children have fun learning to interpret and understand the works in the Basquiat x Warhol. Painting Four Hands exhibition!

An adventure in perception and the senses for young children. A duo of dancers immersed in a moving scenography, toddlers seated along the edge of this installation, and the enchanting, hypnotic musical world of Ravel’s Boléro: Le Petit B is an experience for the senses.
The enchanting, hypnotic musical world of singer Johanna Luz and musician Vincent Barrau, whose primary inspiration is Ravel’s Boléro.

TYPOTYPEX - CHAMBERLAIN

TypoTypex is a poetic visual journey through the letters of the poem Voyelles (“Vowels”) by Arthur Rimbaud. Part concerto, part projected drawings, Mathieu Harlaud’s presentation investigates words in music. At the centre of this creation is pianist and composer CHAMBERLAIN, with illustration by Studio Chevalvert.

The Trailblazers brass band, the “Fabrique Orchestrale Junior” from Aulnay-sous-Bois, strolls through the Fondation then performs on stage at the Green Mirror!

CONCERT – CHASSOL
Sunday at 5 p.m.
AUDITORIUM - FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON
Composer and pianist CHASSOL presents a selection of pieces taken from his “Ultrascores,” musical trips to the United States with Nola Chérie, to India with Indiamore, to Martinique with Big Sun and to Japan, with his latest work, Ludi, freely inspired by Hermann Hesse’s The Glass Bead Game. He will also play his new piece, “CHASSOL plays BASQUIAT,” accompanied by his dazzling drummer.

An 8-metre climbing boulder is available all day for children to enjoy. During the Festival, everyone will have a chance to learn about this sport at their own pace!

ACROYOGA
ON THE GREEN MIRROR - JARDIN D'ACCLIMATATION
Mélanie Lo offers families a joyful and gentle introduction to acroyoga. This practice is central to three traditions – yoga, acrobatics and Thai massage – and involves being in pairs, one parent and one child, to perform various balancing postures that develop strength and self-confidence.

COLLABORATIVE FRESCO WITH BAULT

Throughout the weekend, kids can work on a collaborative, monumental fresco designed by urban artist BAULT, to discover behind the stage on the Green Mirror.

THE FOOD TRUCKS
Pizza del Popolo, the food truck that makes pizza in Paris that’s just like the pies in Naples. Voted France’s Best Neapolitan Pizza Food Truck, they recreate the flavours of southern Italy to perfection.
La Cantine du Marché is a lively, relaxed event-village concept dedicated to eating well. The Cantine’s restaurateurs focus on local, healthy and organic ingredients.
