The Fondation Louis Vuitton is teaming up with the Jardin d’Acclimatation for the fifth edition of the Family Festival!

For this fun-filled, creativity-packed weekend, Frank Gehry’s iconic building, the David Hockney 25 exhibition and the Jardin d’Acclimatation – Paris’s only amusement park within city limits – are set to become a giant playground for kids and their families. Art workshops, live shows, narrated tours, concerts and sports – a thousand ways to play, experiment, explore, try and taste new things! 

From the terraces to the Jardin, via the Auditorium or the Galleries, guided by your children, enjoy an eclectic program. Come and spend a joyful and surprising day with poetic shows, outdoor yoga classes, a collaborative and evolving performance and a concert in the Auditorium! Toddlers are not forgotten with a dedicated program: workshop, baby courses and relaxation area.

ILLUSTRATIVE CONCERT – WAXX & PENELOPE BAGIEU

AUDITORIUM

Saturday and Sunday at 5.30  p.m.

For this fifth edition, the Fondation has invited the artist couple Waxx and Pénélope Bagieu to design and produce a unique film concert to be enjoyed by families in the Auditorium.

This concert is included with the Family Festival ticket for the same day.
A specific ticket office is available online and VSP for visitors wishing to attend the concert only (set price of €18, free for members and under 3s).

Leave an indelible mark at the Family Festival and contribute to the creation of a giant collaborative work! Throughout the weekend, come and add some colour to the funny little characters thought up by graphic designer Valentin Adam from the Playground Paris agency, who also created the Family Festival’s visual identity.

TRAIL GAME “The Mystery of the Lost Bolt”

A bolt from the building has gone missing, you are our last hope to save the Fondation! Your missions: uncover the architectural secrets of Frank Gehry's building, follow the clues scattered throughout the Fondation, and solve puzzles along the way. Specially designed for teenagers, this unique quest, which can be carried out without a guide, will make them local experts.

SHOW – “Nestor”

Nestor is at the crossroads of physical theatre, poetic circus arts and involuntary clowning. The solo show features a mute and childlike juggler/tightrope walker.
Nestor travels the world, dancing and jumping, marvelling at everything, especially everyday objects. With an innocent and skillful approach, he breathes life into them to hear what they have to say. Curious, daring, sometimes naive and clumsy, but always full of courage, Nestor builds his world as he dreams it.

Take off on a sound-and-vision journey to a faraway planet! Aria is a unique experience in which science meets the poetry of images; where music plays along with a playful and fascinating exploration. The spectacle combines original graphic creations and live electronic music. Through a unique space odyssey, Jesse Lucas depicts the evolution of life and the diversity of species, and invites children to observe and question the ecosystems that surround them.

From the Fondation to the Jardin d’Acclimatation – Leaves from the Terraces

Duration: 1 hr
Saturday at 1.00 p.m.

 “La grande Fabrique Orchestrale Junior” is made up of around fifty young people from Aubervilliers, Villepinte and Montreuil who have been learning an instrument in a brass band for several years. Accompanied by professional musicians, they revisit the “classics” of second-line funk music from New Orleans, music from the Maghreb, the French and British Caribbean, but also contemporary gypsy music with extraordinary energy and an amazing sound!

A workshop to discover the different materials used in the building designed by Frank Gehry: stone, Ductal® concrete, wood, steel and glass. Look up, observe the glass sails and play with the wind!

Here, the Fondation becomes a soft, tactile world designed by textile artist Juliette Berthonneau. Rugs, giant folds, fabric columns and textures create a sensory experience of architecture for very young children to explore. Every crease tells a new story.

For this new edition of the Family Festival, Diane Cornu invites little ones on a walk through nature, following in the footsteps of Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s solitary rambles. Recalling the landscapes of David Hockney, this imaginary botanical world in which star-shaped blooms and shooting stamens appear in the sky or mirrored on the ground, creates a dreamlike universe. Crafted entirely from paper, it’s astonishingly lifelike.

Mélanie Lo offers a sensory journey for parents and children to experience complicity and joy as a family. Through playful and accessible yoga, massage and acroyoga postures, explore a gentle and entertaining world in which every movement is an invitation to discovery and creativity. Through play, breathing, touch and voice, you will learn to listen to yourself, to express what makes you feel good, and to respect the needs of others, while strengthening your family ties and your own ability to unwind.

Come to the Jardin to snack on homemade fries from the solidarity and integration restaurant Le Récho, traditional hot-dog pretzels or a smoked-carrot version from SO6, crispy chicken or pad thai from Holi thaï, pizzas straight from a Napolitan oven by Pizza del Popolo, and delicious burgers. Let’s not forget a sweet treat to finish! Cool off with organic craft ice cream from La Tropicale Glacier.
