FAMILY LATE HOURS “Mark Rothko”

To start the year off right, come to the Fondation for a fun and fascinating family evening! Follow our Cultural Guides through the Mark Rothko exhibition and enter the painter’s dreamlike world. Along the way, take a moment to create your character from the artist’s imaginary theatre. Don’t miss the “MU” show by choreographer Marion Muzac in the Auditorium and, in the Hall d’Accueil, treat yourself to the culinary creations of Odette, ma fille! and La Cantine du Marché.

7.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m.

“MU” Show – Marion Muzac

AUDITORIUM

For ages 6 and up. Length: 40 minutes. Subject to space availability.

MU invites you to experience a poignant immersion in phantasmagorical landscapes that echo Mark Rothko’s surrealist period. Sculptures by visual artist Emilie Faïf resemble dishevelled mountains and create the stage space crisscrossed by dancer-explorer Aimée Rose Rich to the sound of pop compositions by musician-singer Johanna Luz.

La Cantine du Marché has a menu of comforting, festive beverages, from mulled white wine to Christmas cocktails, from craft beer to local lemonades.

For dinner, Odette ma fille! offers a family-style Mediterranean meal, with a hot dish served family-size for sharing or in individual portions, along with a copious dessert. Be sure to try their specialty, the coca: a Mediterranean version of empanadas with ingredients that change with the seasons.
