For the first time in its history, the Herbie Hancock Institute International Jazz Competition will be presented in Europe at the Fondation.
Dedicated to jazz vocals, the 2026 edition brings together outstanding young vocalists selected from hundreds of applicants from around the world. Established in 1987, the Competition has become one of the world's most prestigious platforms for discovering the next generation of jazz artists.
Accompanied by a jazz trio, the semi-finalists perform before a distinguished jury of internationally renowned artists. This pivotal stage of the Competition offers audiences the opportunity to discover some of the most promising voices of a new generation, while determining the three finalists who will advance to the Final and All-Star Gala Concert.
Additional members of the jury, led by legendary jazz vocalist, three-time Grammy Award and Tony Award winner Dee Dee Bridgewater, will be announced in early September.
