Hu Xiangqian back to the stage like water flowing past

Working with a Franco-Chinese artist, Hu Xiangqian presents Back to the Stage, Like Water Flowing Past, a unique performance probing the possible transitions and translations between language and dance. 

A graduate of the Guangzhu Academy of Fine Arts (2007), Hu Xiangqian's work was exhibited at the 11th Sharjah Biennial in 2013, at the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing, and at Borusan Contemporary in Istanbul in 2015. Inspired by his everyday environment, Hu Xiangqian creates video performances in which he often plays a lead role. By staging situations and tales which are by turns absurd and satirical, his works shed light on the changing and quirky nature of representative positions in society.
