Immerse yourself in the world of Mark Rothko for one evening!
"Since I am involved with the human element, I want to create a state of intimacy. Large pictures take you into them. Scale is of tremendous importance to me – human scale.” Mark Rothko.
Spend an evening in the world of Mark Rothko. Follow the Cultural Guides deep inside the painter’s works and set out in search of light at the special workshop. In the Auditorium, take the experience further with the singular, intimate atmospheres of Elliott Armen and the Two Lanes duo. Treat your taste buds at La Cantine du Marché and Hanoï Corner in the Hall d’Accueil.

Every 30 minutes starting at the “Short Tours” meeting points
Dive into the paintings of Mark Rothko! Led by an expert Cultural Guide, move from the mythological period to the surrealist phase, discover the painter’s “Early Classics” with shapes that float as though hung in the air, to better understand and experience the artist’s monumental works known as the “classics.”

Elliott Armen
AUDITORIUM
Elliott Armen is a young author, composer and performer who grew up between Paris and Saint-Malo, his hometown. He has been composing on guitar and piano since his teens, works that echo the landscapes surrounding his family home. The Breton artist combines guitar and piano with his unique voice, creating an intimate, wooded atmosphere that is captivating and timeless, ever anchored between land and sea.

TWO LANES
AUDITORIUM
The electronic duo TWO LANES mixes acoustic piano recordings with analogue synthesisers and bare-bones rhythmic elements to craft their signature sound.
The duo – Berlin-based brothers Leo and Rafa – has developed a loyal fan following worldwide. On their latest release, the Reflections EP, they continue to expand into different genres, from neoclassical to melodic techno to ambient.
