Spend an evening getting to know Mark Rothko's world!

Take a leisurely evening to observe and contemplate the work of Mark Rothko! With our Cultural Guides to lead you through the exhibition, explore the painter’s works in detail. Prolong the experience with the “Bursts of Light” creative workshop and, in the Auditorium, steep yourself in the surprising, dreamy electropop of Romane Santarelli. You can also enjoy delicious refreshments, thanks to Rolls and La Cantine du Marché.

Romane Santarelli - Live
AUDITORIUM
Romane Santarelli, with her dreamy electropop, embodies the French electronic scene’s next-gen crème de la crème. The young producer, composer, author, remixer and performer has enjoyed a stellar career since coming onto the scene in late 2019. Considered a “techno poetess” by many, she released her critically acclaimed first album Cosmo Safari last July.

At the bar, La Cantine du Marché serves a selection of artisanal beverages: lemonades, juices, organic ginger beer, local draft beers and in-season cocktails.
To munch alongside them, Rolls has reinvented the spring roll with recipes that honour Vietnamese tradition while adding touches of eccentricity and originality.

Led by an expert Cultural Guide, move from the mythological period to the surrealist phase, then discover the painter’s “Early Classics” with shapes that float as though hung in the air, to better understand and experience the artist’s monumental works known as the “classics.”

“BURSTS OF LIGHT” WORKSHOP
“I’m not interested in colour. It’s light I’m after.” Like Mark Rothko, set out on a quest to find the vibration of light. Experiment and play with textures and materials to make your creations gleam and glow!
