Musique

Music

French singer-songwriter Jeanne Added curates the musical atmosphere for this first Late Hours of the season. She blends her favourite tunes with works that have influenced her own craft into a unique DJ set and also invites rising bedroom-pop star Savanah to share the stage with her in a one-of-a-kind concert in the Hall.

8.00 p.m.-9.00 p.m. and 9.30 p.m.-10.30 p.m.

DJ SET – Jeanne Added

Jeanne Added is a singer-songwriter and bassist that is rising swiftly from her jazz and rock roots to become a major figure on the French music scene, performing mainly in English. Having studied at leading music conservatories in Reims, Paris and London, she dovetails classical discipline with artistic freedom through her powerful stage presence and on her acclaimed albums, including Radiate, which won two French Victoires de la Musique awards, and By Your Side. In 2024, she was recognised for her rocketing career with the SACEM Grand Prix de la Chanson.

LIVE – Savanah

Savanah shares a poetically intimate glimpse of her childhood in her debut album Superlune, a blend of dream pop and Americana produced with Samy Osta and Renaud Brustlein. Drifting in teen nostalgia through hazy melodies and exquisite collaborations with the likes of Marie-Flore and Jean Fauque, her music is delicate and authentic, with sincere, unvarnished vocals.

OPEN SPACE

LEVEL 2, GALLERY 8

All evening long, a Cultural Guide will shed light on the work I’d Rather Be a Dragonfly than a Lion, featuring previously unseen video works combined with an installation of objects, photographs and drawings by Saudi artist Mohammad Alfaraj. His oeuvre is rooted in the oral traditions of Saudi Arabia and inspired by social practices, urban and rural architecture and everyday narratives, a way for Alfaraj to examine the relationships between humans and nature.

“COLOURS OF THE IMAGINATION” WORKSHOP

LEVEL 2

Dive into a multicoloured adventure in a realm of free-flowing hues and inspired drawing. With the blotting paper technique, one of Gustave Fayet’s favourite artistic playgrounds, see for yourself how ink spreads on paper and, as the collector did, discover that “a beautiful blot can be the starting point for a beautiful drawing.”
