CHARLOTTE PERRIAND'S SECRET ARCHITECTURE

Five models made by students of Ecole des Arts Décoratifs (Paris)

AUDITORIUM, GALLERIES, LEVELS -1, 1 AND 2

As part of an educational partnership with EnSAD (Ecole Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs) in Paris, a group of 4th year interior design students have brought to life some of Charlotte Perriand’s architectural plans that were never built. In this exhibition you can talk to the students about their research into the specific features and materials used in these spaces that have remained at the conceptual stage in Perriand's imagination.

Projects presented:

  • Villa Martinez by Lucile Cornet-Richard and Anne-Claire Heinry
  • Hanoi Pavillion by Nhien Vo Duy and Ursula Zakaria
  • Refuge Tonneau by Pierre Labarre, Camille Lugand and Sarah Koukeb
  • The Tritianon by Hugo Hu and Justine Fontaine
  • Weekend House by Armelle Antier and Simon Caillol

Tutors: Véronique Massenet and Catherine Frenak

8.30 P.M. Oh Mu / 9.30 P.M. Pi Ja Ma

CONCERTS

HALL

Pi Ja Ma and Oh Mu are young French indie acts who are lighting up the electro-pop scene with their offbeat sounds. Both are illustrators as well as musicians, and create sparkling, comforting worlds. The two live sets will transport you with Oh Mu’s creative, incisive lyrics followed by the dreamy, sunny pop sounds of Pi Ja Ma. Perriand’s modernity and independence are echoed in this original soundscape, with songs such as Radio Girl and Les Montages.

7 P.M. - 10.30 P.M.

WORKSHOP: “WEAVING SOLID AND EMPTY SPACES”

LEVEL -1

Weave connections with the world of Charlotte Perriand with artist Jeanne Coutelle. This explorer of contemporary textiles will introduce you to the technique of weaving with coloured ribbon. Like Perriand’s Nuage shelves, your design will combine solid and empty spaces to bring a new pattern to life.

7 P.M. - 10.30 P.M.

SHORT TOURS: “Mystery material”

GALERIES, LEVELS -1, 1 AND 2

Starting every 30 minutes from the "micro-tours" meeting points

From wicker to polished steel, Perriand used materials in new ways with a great sense of freedom. Choose your material, then our guides will show you the corresponding furniture designed by Charlotte Perriand!
