OPEN SPACE

LEVEL 2, GALLERY 8

Throughout the evening, Cultural Guides will provide visitors with insights into the work The Song Trapper, an immersive, multisensory video installation that is part of the Open Space programme and was created specifically for Gallery 8 by Danish artist Jakob Kudsk Steensen. His works focus on little-known, rare or threatened ecosystems—desert lakes, underwater volcanoes, wetlands, glaciers—to explore a wide range of narratives, emotions and philosophies conveying the impact of our planet’s transformation.

“BLURRING THE SKY” WORKSHOP

LEVEL 2

There’s a fine line between abstraction and figuration! With Gerhard Richter’s Wolken [Clouds] works as inspiration, this workshop is a chance for you to create your own little corner of the sky. Using watercolour pencils, experiment with the soft, blurred lines so often seen in the German artist’s oeuvre.
