Performance

In collaboration with artists Lu Pingyuan and Zhao Yao, Inventing Ritual is a MadeIn Company production that examines the relationships between contemporary art and the notion of ritual by presenting works by some twenty artists, encompassing performance, video, text, painting, sculpture and installations.

the artists

Xu Zhen

A graduate of the Shanghai School of Arts and Crafts (1996), Xu Zhen exhibited at the Kunsthaus in Graz in 2015, at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow, and at the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing in 2014. Having made his mark on the international scene with spectacular and provocative videos, performances and installations, Xu Zhen recast his own artistic identity in 2009 by creating MadeIn Company, dedicated to artistic production and research. In 2013, MadeIn Company launched the Xu Zhen brand (Produced by MadeIn Company).

Récital Daniel Kharitonov New Generation Piano

At 16 years old, the Russian pianist Daniel Kharitonov  won Third Prize in the prestigious Tchaikovsky International Competition. He is now 20 and joins the young prodigies of the New Generation Piano series at the Fondation.

​Every first friday of the month, the Fondation hosts its "Late Hours", a chance to see and experience the building, exhibitions and works in a whole new way. In conjunction with the exhibition Charlotte Perriand : Inventing a New World, the Fondation hosts a weekend of architectural experimentation.
