The European Night of Museums
- Date
- 16 May 2016 – 8:30pm

On 16 May, the Foundation participated for the first time this year in the Night of Museums.
For its 11th edition, the European Night of Museums offered this year the free opening of more than 1,300 museums in France, and nearly 3,400 in Europe. On this occasion, the Foundation was open free of charge from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Night owls were able to discover the building, the Collection and the "The Keys of a Passion" exhibition in free access, and to leave thanks to our shuttle service.
Our guides have been waiting for you to reveal all the secrets of the works… Among them, the mascot we have chosen for this exceptional night: Mann im Matsch by Thomas Schütte. You voted to elect our mascot.
You also discovered the Louis Vuitton Foundation through the mischievous gaze of the little character Elyx by following our Foundation's Instagram and Twitter accounts.
Participation in the Instagram / Twitter photo contest
On the occasion of the European Night of Museums, you were able to visit the Louis Vuitton Foundation and participate in our photo competition.
To do this: you had to discover where the character Elyx is hiding, during your visit, you had to take a picture and share them on Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #elyxflv.
To win: an entry ticket valid for two people.
The draw was scheduled for Monday May 18 at 12 noon.
