Vladimir Spivakov Foundation residency at Fondation Louis Vuitton

Residency programmed to coincide with the exhibition Icons of Modern Art. The Shchukin Collection.
The auditorium of the Fondation Louis Vuitton welcomes the young wonders of the Fondation Vladimir Spivakov for three days of residency: rehearsals behind closed doors, public rehearsals and concerts around the Carnival of the animals by Camille Saint-Saëns.
The Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation :
Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation - a non-profit charitable organisation founded in May 1994 on the initiative of the world-renowned violinist, conductor and public figure, Vladimir Spivakov. The field of activity of Vladimir Spivakov Int. charity foundation is to help children gifted in music and all kinds of arts to develop their talents, support their creative process in Russia and abroad. One of its most important areas is the preservation and development of cultural values and providing comprehensive direct charity support. The Vladimir Spivakov Foundation helps young talented musicians, dancers and artists by organising masterclasses, concerts, tours and exhibitions. Scholarship holders take part in international and national competitions and festivals. Since 1994, the Foundation is the co-organiser and a permanent participant of the International Music Festival in Colmar, France. The Foundation also provides ongoing support to music and arts schools, of Moscow, St.-Petersburg, all major Russian regions including cities and villages with a population of less then 10,000, as well as CIS countries- Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and others. More than 30,000 young artists are supported in different ways and 2,000 participate in the "Moscow meets friends" festival which is held annually in Moscow and established by the Foundation.
The Vladimir Spivakov Foundation supports many social programmes related to education, science, art and culture. The Foundation provides health support for scholarship holders, helps orphans, disabled children, children's homes and hospitals. The President of the Foundation is Vladimir Spivakov.
