“Bursts of light” workshop

Try the “Bursts of light” workshop, inspired by the work of Mark Rothko, from the comfort of your own home!

Subtitles are available in English.

Adèle, a cultural guide at the Fondation, will guide you step by step through the process of manipulating textures and colours to make them vibrate together in the light.

This workshop is for children aged 5/6 and over, and you can work with different materials depending on what you have at home. Feel free to pause the video to take the time to put all the elements together and complete each step at your own pace.

A workshop created by designers Elise Gabriel & Alizée Vallet, inspired by the “Bursts of light” workshop offered at the Fondation for the "Mark Rothko" exhibition, from 18 October 2023 to 2 April 2024.
