At the invitation of the Fondation Louis Vuitton, in parallel with Venice’s Biennale Architettura, Fabrice Hyber composes La Foresta Invisibile (“The Invisible Forest”) at the Espace Louis Vuitton Venezia.

From 19 May 2023 to 07 January 2024, as part of the Fondation’s “Hors-les-Murs” programme, the artist presents a new in-situ installation addressing the future challenges the world will face, particularly ecological concerns.

In this conversation with art critic Anaël Pigeat, Fabrice Hyber explains his process in creating and composing this Invisible Forest. The exposition takes as its starting point two paintings from a set of the artist’s works belonging to the Collection (Les Concentrés).

Previously awarded a Golden Lion at the Biennale di Venezia in 1997 for Eau d'or. Eau dort. ODOR, Mr Hyber here presents creations and research inspired by the valley of his childhood in the Vendée (in the Pays de la Loire region of western France) and the city of Venice.
