New Generation Piano Recital – Valentin Malinin
Valentin Malinin follows in the footsteps of the great Russian piano tradition, distinguished by the depth of his playing and his heightened sensitivity. As a counterpoint to the Gerhard Richter exhibition and the six canvases entitled "Cage" in homage to the American composer, the 24-year-old musician delves into the visionary work of John Cage, presenting a collection of major works for piano and prepared piano (fitted with objects to alter its timbre). As a bonus, our young star, who is also a composer, concludes his recital with a work of his own creation.
