This exhibition presents eight video works (Voir la mer, 2011) and six photographic pieces (L’Hôtel, 1981-1983), bearing witness to Calle’s defining work, ranging from self-investigative encounters of the 1980s to the altruistic investigations of recent years. 

The Espace Louis Vuitton München honours Belgian artist David Claerbout with a new exhibition, Erzähl mir das Ende, produced in the framework of the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s “Hors-les-murs” programme.

This presentation has been produced in the framework of the Fondation Louis Vuitton’s “Hors-les-murs” programme, showcasing previously unseen holdings of the Collection at the Espaces Culturels Louis Vuitton Tokyo, München, Venezia and Beijing, thus carrying out the Fondation’s intent to realize international projects and make them accessible to a broader public.

This exhibition commemorates Cheng’s progressive practice in new digital art and honours his receipt of the 2017 “Award for the Filmic Oeuvre“, presented by Louis Vuitton in association with KINO DER KUNST. Conceived and produced under the artistic direction of the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the exhibition showcases key works by Cheng in the framework of the Fondation’s “Hors-les-Murs“ program, destined to introduce previously unseen artworks from its permanent collection to audiences of the Espaces Culturels Louis Vuitton München, Venezia, Beijing, and Tokyo, thus realizing its mission to curate ambitious international art projects and share its collection with a broader public.

The Espace Louis Vuitton in Munich is launching its programme for 2016 with the exhibition Les Approches, which showcases the work of two artists: Filmmaker and visual artist Chantal Akerman, and French visual artist Annette Messager.
