Synopsis

The film focuses on following the pianist Lucas Debargue, during the year after the Tchaikovsky competition which revealed him, through his encounters, his discoveries and his quest for music. Young and early in his career, Lucas discovers: different countries, tours, concerts, studio recording, relationship with the conductor, chamber music partners, after-concerts, success, fans, and autographs. But all this is anecdotal beside the main subject: music.

From there, the film is structured around three main themes corresponding to those of all great musicians: interpretation, improvisation, composition.
