Date
2 December 2022 – 7pm
Hours
7 p.m. - 11 p.m.

For this Late Hours event devoted to Joan Mitchell, learn about her career as a woman painter. She was initially a key figure on the 1950s New York art scene, then developed a vibrant technique in her oeuvre that was conspicuously impacted by her sensitivity and her relationship with European painting. On the Fondation’s mystery short tours, discover the many facets of Joan Mitchell through her works. Stop along the way to illustrate and colour a work title or an artist quote. Take a musical break with Requin Chagrin in the Auditorium and, in the Hall, sample delicious treats from La Cantine du Marché and Kiosk.

Dog Park, a quartet that formed in Paris this year with members from across the globe (France, Brazil, United States), performs a loose conglomeration of pop built on earworm riffs, hazy melodies and dreamy female vocals that exude benign nonchalance and languid leisure.

9.30 - 10.30 p.m.

REQUIN CHAGRIN – LIVE

Marion Brunetto, better known as Requin Chagrin, is originally from the town of Ramatuelle in the Var. When she landed in Paris, barely of age, her suitcases contained a dreamy mixture of California rock and English noise pop. An outsider influenced by French 1960s mainstream pop, she explores Anglo-Saxon music unlike anyone else in France. Marion is a one-person band: synthesizer, bass, guitar, drums. This woman, on the cusp of her thirties, pulled herself up by her bootstraps and now ventures more often into introspection, drawing inspiration from her dreams, travels and friends.

7 p.m. - 10.30 p.m.
