CHARLES BERBERIAN - CARTE BLANCHE/ "DRAWING CONCERT" BY CHARLES BERBERIAN AND ALBIN DE LA SIMONE

AUDITORIUM

Charles Berberian invites French singer-songwriter Albin de la Simone, along with his band Sophie Bernado, Marcello Giuliani and Anne Gouverneur, to join him for a “drawing concert” honouring Charlotte Perriand. It is a visual and poetic stroll through the celebrated designer’s world in the intimate setting of the Auditorium, an exploration of her life and works through drawings executed on stage by Charles Berberian to the melodies of Albin de la Simone.

8.45 p.m. - 9.15 p.m.

CHARLES BERBERIAN BOOK SIGNING

HALL

Between the two “drawing concert” shows, Charles Berberian will autograph his illustrated novel Charlotte Perriand, une architecte française au Japon, 1940-1942 (published by Chêne/Arte) in a special book-signing session. Through words and drawings, his work talks about Charlotte Perriand’s time in Japan, shedding light on the fundamental impact The Land of the Rising Sun had on the legendary creations of this trailblazing designer.

7 p.m. - 10.30 p.m.
