Late hours Collection Courtauld

On the first Friday of every month, the Fondation presents special Late Hour events, a chance to see and experience the building, exhibitions and works in a whole new way.
Echoing the exhibition The Courtauld Collection: A Vision for Impressionism, the March edition of Late Hour events takes you across the Channel, giving a carte blanche to the young English music scene, a workshop to try the traditional British craft technique called punch needle, and a tasting of British food.

CONCERT - GREENTEA PENG
Psychedelic singer Greentea Peng, born in Bermondsey in south-east London, takes inspiration from the many places she loves. In her original music, a blend of solemn and upbeat, Greentea Peng takes you on a pensive journey to the sound of smooth lyrics somewhere between R&B and soul.

CONCERT - JIMOTHY LACOSTE
A touch of humour, Eighties-tinged instrumental tracks, inimitable style, one-of-a-kind moves: that’s how one might describe London hip-hop’s latest sensation, Jimothy Lacoste. At the tender age of 19, he is already described as one of the year’s most influential UK rappers. Jimothy now shares his syncopated flow at the Fondation.

PUNCH NEEDLE - WORKSHOP
Try your hand at the very British technique known as punch needle, a specific kind of needlework, with designer Chaumière Oiseau from the Klin d’oeil collective. Using a hollow needle and thick yarn, punch through a small piece of canvas to create raised embroidery patterns and leave with your own personalised handicraft.
