Late Hours "In Tune with the World" #1

On the first Friday of every month, the Fondation hosts a special Late Hour event that offers a new perspective on the building, the artworks and the exhibitions.

At this first Late Hour event dedicated to the In tune with the world exhibition, explore the world of Kawaii in celebration of the work of Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. There will be a performance by a J-pop group, a set by a Japanese DJ, Kawaii-themed short tours, and a vibrantly coloured bar.

DJ SET – MOTOMITSU

HALL 

Signed to the Cracki Records label in France, Motomitsu is a DJ, musician, poet and children's author. Motomitsu came to France from Japan, where he traded vinyls, and infects audiences with his boundless positive energy. He will be spinning Japanese sounds for his set at the Fondation Louis Vuitton.

9.30 p.m.

CONCERT - KERO KERO BONITO ケロケロ 蛙

HALL

Influenced by J-pop, dancehall and video game music, Kero Kero Bonito is a London-based group, whose lyrics switch between Japanese and English. The group’s name is made up of the Japanese onomatopoeia for frog croaks (kero kero) and a type of fish, the bonito, which is very popular in Japanese cuisine. The group are known for their dynamic, sparkling stage performances.

KAWAII FLOWER WORKSHOP

Cover yourself in flowers! In this workshop, create and customise your own kawaii flower in the form of a brooch and have fun with plants and moss. Then wear your brooch all evening!
