"Late Hours" JAZZ !

On the first Friday of every month, the Fondation hosts its Late Hour events, offering a new perspective on the building, the art works and the exhibitions. 

 The last Late Hour event of the season will be JAZZ!

(Re)discover the spirit of jazz in a laid-back atmosphere. The evening will start with a performance by Steam Down on the terraces followed by a concert by Shahin Novrasli in the Auditorium.

STEAM DOWN LIVE

TERRACES

 Steam Down is a collective of artists based in Deptford, south-east London. Each of their performances is a co-created experience shared between the musicians and the public. With their exuberant energy, Steam Down transport us to vibrant soundscapes marrying groove, jazz and hip-hop.

CONCERT BY SHAHIN NOVRASLI

AUDITORIUM

 Shahin Novrasli, a virtuoso contemporary jazz pianist, will perform his new album, From Baku to New York. Accompanied by drummer Herlin Riley and double-bassist James Cammack, Novrasli responds to the call of his mentor Ahmad Jamal. The concert will be a fabulous fusion between two generations of musicians.

GILBERT & GEORGE

GALLERY 2

From 3 July to 26 August 2019, the Fondation will present a rare and complete series by Gilbert & George entitled There Were Two Young Men (April 1971), a "six-part Charcoal on Paper Sculpture", which belongs to the Fondation's Collection.

IN THE GALLERIES 

Starting every 30 minutes at the “micro-tours” meeting points on levels -1, 1, 2 and the terrace.

Just like Gilbert & George, the guides will pair up for the evening in a dual presentation of a selection of works from the Fondation’s collection.
