For the third edition of the Piano Jazz Sessions, the Fondation Louis Vuitton has invited two titans of jazz, Yaron Herman and Brad Mehldau, to a joint residency on improvisation and creation. This 2022 jazz piano programme includes three concerts on 17, 18 and 19 March, with Brad Mehldau on solo piano, an outstanding trio with Yaron Herman, and a special evening featuring three “keyboards” with two extremely fine pianists: Yaron Herman and Iddo Bar-Shai. Beginning on Wednesday 16 March at 3 p.m., Yaron Herman is running a workshop for the public on the creative process and an improvisation masterclass.
What is the common denominator among all these different musicians? Creativity! By triggering new and surprising encounters and by talking about the hows and whys of creativity, we can open the doors to inspiration.

“The challenge of this residency is to use creativity and learning to connect several projects that highlight the intersection between influences and styles. How can classical music and jazz be combined? What is the common denominator among all these different musicians? Creativity! By triggering new and surprising encounters and by talking about the hows and whys of creativity, we can open the doors to inspiration.” – Yaron Herman
A compilation "A jazz night with Yaron Herman" will be broadcast on delay and on streaming on Radio Classique.
