A CALL TO DANCE
From 1984 to 1985, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol worked together almost daily, their conversation following the electric rhythm of the New York metropolis, its music, its parties, its dances, and their common works produced an impressive mix of cultures and signs.
On Friday, 2 June 2023, Late Hours will celebrate the great diversity of urban dance. In a call for choreographic projects, with Marion Motin as patron of the event, the Fondation is inviting amateur or professional dancers to perform in situ at the Fondation galleries. Step into New York City’s 1980s Downtown art scene and reinterpret the Basquiat-Warhol artistic dialogue through dance!
