Spalletti’s palette is intentionally limited, which only serves to better reveal the variations in intensity and luminous vibrations of a single shade, such as blue.

Inspired by the sky and sea in the artist’s native Abruzzo, he is forever capturing the nuances of this color at different hours and seasons, as illustrated in Paesaggio 2, Azzurro, Verso il blu di Prussia, Grigio caldo and Colonna persa nel cielo, works from the collection.
