Constitution IV, part of a series of four paintings of the same name, is created using quotes from the United States Constitution and cut out of layers of red, white, and black paper using stencils.

Falsely abstract, this painting shows a sort of palimpsest of words and letters with ambiguous and indecipherable meaning. Disjointed, fragmented, and rendered opaque, the words evoke a cacophony of voices expressing themselves all at once.
