FOR ALL

Keen to make visits rewarding and encourage a dialogue with its visitors, the Fondation decided after opening to recruit a team of professional, multilingual guides to work in the exhibition spaces. They are trained in passing on their cultural knowledge to the public, and are on hand throughout the Fondation's opening hours.

Their language skills allow them to answer questions in the most common European languages, but also in less familiar languages, including Japanese, Russian, Greek and Chinese.

Shorts tours – Tours only available in french

Led by specialised guides, micro-tours are a chance to discover architectural highlights at the Fondation at a glance. Designed to be enjoyed either alone or in a small group, these tours are the perfect introduction to the building, the commissions, the exhibitions… providing a satisfying overview.

CHILDREN AND FAMILIES ACTIVITIES

The Fondation Louis Vuitton has chosen to lavish special attention on younger visitors. Families can enjoy a fun and interactive introduction to contemporary art and to the building itself. A family ticket (from 1 or 2 adults and up to 4 children under 18) is available for 32 euros.

Every weekend and during French school holidays, two kind of activities are planned : storytelling-tours (ages 3 to 5) and workshops (ages 6 to 10). Reguraly, the Fondation organized late hours or weekend dedicated to families.

STORYTELLING-TOURS (AGES 3 TO 5)

These educational walking tours for 3-5 year olds are punctuated by game stops where children can learn about a work of art, an architectural detail, a material, and so on.
A narrative thread, by turns poetic and imaginary, is constructed from group-participation nursery rhymes, poems and fables. Using hands-on games and word play, these living stories bring art and architecture to life for our youngest visitors.

STORYTELLING TOUR : "THE COLOUR THIEF"

WORKSHOPS (AGES 6 TO 10)

EYES ON ARCHITECTURE

During a visual and sensory exploration of the Fondation Louis Vuitton, classes are invited to get a feel for its architecture with games and sketches with a guide. Balance, space, forces and tension are just some of the themes addressed in an active way both in the tour and the workshop. Children enjoy an introduction to Frank Gehry's work, his research and his formal vocabulary.

ART DISCOVERY

The Fondation boasts an exceptional collection of modern and contemporary works of art, which are regularly displayed between exhibitions.

The guides introduce visitors to the collection and a selection of works reflecting the key principles underpinning the collection. While chronology is important, the guides offer a different point of view, highlighting the artists' sensibilities and giving an overview of modern and contemporary art history.
