Since the early 2000s, Zhou Tao has captured China’s rapidly changing society in his films.

Coming from a performance background, he considers film as a means of recording individual and collective experiences, focusing on the body and its movements. Using the language of the documentary, the spectator observes its actors and identifies the profound meaning of reality in an intuitive, poetic form.
